What is Holistic Therapy?

Becoming increasingly popular as an alternative system of health care, it is based on the concept of treating 'the whole person'. With the treatments employed in holistic therapy, Confused Couple!sometimes known as complementary or holistic medicine, there is an emphasis on using natural methods to restore the body's balance and improve overall well being. Together with stressing a personal responsibility for health, a holistic approach incorporates therapies which are designed to complement and support some of the more traditional methodologies. Clients may be encouraged to establish personal regimes with the purpose of controlling any contributing factors related to ill health, which could include a poor diet, smoking, alcohol intake and stress. A pre-treatment consultation should always be conducted.

I am a fully qualified and insured Holistic Therapist based in Poynton, near Stockport in Cheshire and provide a range of complementary therapiesAromatherapy and Hot Stone Therapy to both individual and corporate clients, conducted always within a caring and professional environment. Within the Treatments page of the Blue Faery Holistics website you will find detailed descriptions of the various therapies that are offered including Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Reiki, Hot Stone Therapy and Swedish Body Massage together with a link to video presentations which illustrate these treatments. Other website pages contain some background information about my experience and qualifications, together with a selection of regularly updated news stories, featuring health-related issues and topics from around the world.
